Derek Doublin
Derek Doublin is a director, cinematographer, and multi-faceted artist based out of Los Angeles. His prior experience as a director for ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live and head documentary filmmaker for the National Sierra Club for over 10 years has led him to create numerous award-winning short form documentaries advocating for a variety of important causes. He also holds a contract with the US Government to direct mental health content for the Office of Veteran’s affairs to help aid our nation’s veterans.
Derek works with progressive and forward-thinking companies that have entered the economy with the goal of hanging the world for the better, primarily through the development of new products and services that fill a greater human need. Derek has shot and directed spots for major, global brands such as Lucid, HP, Marriott, Uber, Disney, ABC, the NFL, Lucid, and many more.
As a visual artist, Derek has gained international recognition working in the realm of large scale art where he designs, fabricates and produces massive, 8 story tall art installations that feature a rotating cast and crew of over 250 people. He is right at home producing and managing high stakes, multi-million dollar productions. Most notably, his work routinely headlines the Coachella Music Festival and he has been featured on the front page of the Los Angeles Times as well as in Rolling Stone Magazine where his work was cited as “The Best Art Installation of the Year.”
