Rebuilding in Rwanda
The Story
UNICEF claims that approximately 15 million children worldwide have lost one or both parents to AIDS. Many more children have been made vulnerable because of family illness and the widespread impact of HIV/AIDS on their communities.
In Rwanda, the U.S. President's Emergency Plan for Aids Relief (PEPFAR) works with communities to address the long-term impact of HIV/AIDS through home-based care, and programs for orphans and vulnerable children.
