We created this film for SisterMentors, a DC-based nonprofit that challenges minority women to excel in school and in life. At the post-graduate level, women are offered support and encouragement while earning their PhD degrees. It is these same women who in turn mentor elementary, middle and high school-aged girls, encouraging them to not only stay in school but to excel beyond expectations set for them by family and peers. Most of these women go on to college and beyond, often earning post-doctorate degrees.
"Still Life Projects created a short film for us way beyond our expectations ... but what we valued most of all was the remarkable collaboration they forged with us from the very beginning. It was a collaboration based on respect and appreciation for the work we do in our community. We highly recommend this extremely talented and personable film crew."
